As a provider of services and goods to the Ontario public the Ontario Workplace Tribunals Library (Library) will be actively compliant with the required legislated accessibility standards as outlined in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005, and Ontario Regulation Ontario Regulation 191/11, “Integrated Accessibility Standards”.
The Library has established the following policy, practices, and procedures to govern the provision of its services to persons with disabilities, to adhere to the core principles of the Integrated Accessibility Standards regulation, and to provide equity and accessibility to customers.
The library’s Accessibility Policy applies to the accessible and equitable provision of information, services and resources at the Library.

The Library will provide equitable and inclusive access to its reference and information services. The resource and information access needs of persons with disabilities will be incorporated into Library service and resource provision wherever applicable.
Support for Library customers who wish to access our Information Services will be provided in the following ways:

Access to resources and information will be provided by Library reference staff. To ensure quick and immediate access to services, all visitors and users can notify the Library in advance of their specific service and information needs.

Information and publications will be provided, when possible, in alternative formats upon request. The Library will make arrangements to create and provide these alternate formats.

The Library will provide space and support for adaptive technologies in collaboration with the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal.
All web site pages, web services, and online materials maintained and managed by the Library will comply with the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal’s web content accessibility policy, and all standards outlined by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 and accompanying regulations.
Library publications will be made available in alternative formats upon request. The Library will make arrangements to create and provide these alternate formats.
Using reasonable efforts, and within the guidelines of copyright law, the Library will ensure that web content and web applications from non-library sources and sites are accessible to all customers.
As far as possible and practicable all electronic and online resources subscribed to or developed by the Library will be fully accessible to all customers.
All library staff responsible for training and delivering information using computers and information technology will provide training, support and advice regarding assisted and adaptive technologies and their use.
The Library has undertaken measures to promote a barrier-free environment, address structural barriers which restrict inclusiveness, and meet accessibility needs.
The Library is located at 505 University Avenue, 7th floor, in Toronto. The building is located close to the St. Patrick and Queen’s Park subway stations. The Queen’s Park subway stop is wheelchair accessible. The building’s front doors and elevators are accessible to wheelchairs and other mobility devices, as are the Library’s public spaces, stacks, reading and work desks, and washrooms.
The Library will maintain a fully accessible environment, and continue to work with the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal to facilitate the implementation of provincially legislated standards to better serve all our customers.
This policy will be reviewed on an annual basis.
